Three arrests in response to protest activity in Shenstone

We have arrested three people on suspicion of criminal offences following protest activity in Shenstone this morning (Tuesday 8 September).

Officers were called to Lynn Lane shortly before 7am following a report of the arrival of protestors.

Officers worked to balance the rights of the protestors against the rights of those affected by it, which includes minimising the impact of disruption to local businesses, the community and the road network.

A 70-year-old woman and a 49-year-old woman, both from the Liverpool area, have been arrested on suspicion of watch or beset a place of work to compel the abstention of a lawful act. A 66-year-old man, from the Wirral area, has been arrested on suspicion of the same offence.

Protest activity in the area today has now ended.
